Municipal Services
What does the Town do? Some of the basic services the Town provides are also the most essential. Some of these services include:
- Making sure that the Town has clean, safe drinking water;
- Monitoring the provision of safe wastewater disposal;
- Planning and maintaining a safe and efficient system of streets and roads;
- Working with other agencies to provide for garbage and recycling;
- Planning for appropriate response to emergencies;
- Providing government facilities such as town offices and meeting venue, maintenance yard, and Town cemetery;
- Keeping and maintaining Town parks and other recreational opportunities such as sports facilities and trails.

Water
Virgin’s Public Works department is responsible for maintaining and repairing dedicated culinary pipelines, hydrants, water tanks and other water infrastructure.
Streets and Roads
Once a street has been dedicated to the town, the Public Works department takes over its maintenance and repairs.
Facility Maintenance
Our Public Works department does repairs and upkeep of town-owned parks and buildings.
